The PIL Unit offers courses in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and Supervision in Postgraduate Programmes. Some autumn courses may still have places left. The spring 2025 courses will open for applications on Wednesday 16 October. PIL101 is offered in the form of modules.

Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 1: Basic Course (PIL101) – as modules
PIL101 offers an introduction to learning theories, teaching methods and student learning in higher education.

Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 2: Subject Field Pedagogy (PIL102)
Develop your ability to analyse, plan, debate, and design university education and your own pedagogical approach.

Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 3: Applied Analysis (PIL103)
Write an independent paper about a theme within teaching and learning in higher education.

Supervision in Postgraduate Programmes

Supervision in Postgraduate Programmes (PIL201)
For lecturers/researchers who supervise or plan to supervise in postgraduate programmes, irrespective of faculty.

The course enables you to reason about, plan for, develop, implement and evaluate various forms of assessment and examination

Do you belong to Sahlgrenska Academy?
