ChatGPT Edu – a customised version of the generative AI tool ChatGPT Enterprise, developed for use in higher education institutions. It ensures that all information entered into the tool is protected and not used outside the university to improve the AI model. Read more about ChatGPT Edu (in the Staff Portal)
Clipchamp – record and edit video in Office 365. Clipchamp is Microsoft’s web-based video editing tool, included in Office 365 and available to all employees at the University of Gothenburg. DISA – the system used at University of Gothenburg for digital exams. The system provides support during the planning phase for and execution of written exams but also the grading process. It allows for individual or group feedback to students to help them understand the grading criteria used. Read more about DISA (in the Staff Portal)
Eduroam – a secure wifi network that provides access to the same services as a wired connection. Temporary guests who need wifi access can be issued a time-limited account. Read more about Eduroam (in the Staff Portal)
GU Play – the university's video management service. GU Play allows all staff members to upload videos and make simple recordings. Read more about GU Play (in the Staff Portal)
GUprint – print, copy and scan from any printer at the university that is connected to the system. You send your documents to a central printer queue and pick them up at any printer. Read more about GUprint (in the Staff Portal)
Inspera Originality – University of Gothenburg’s new web-based text-matching system, which replaced Ouriginal on 19 January 2026. The service can be used to prevent and detect plagiarism. Read more about Inspera Originality (in the Staff Portal)
Ladok – a national system supporting educational administrative processes. Ladok documents studies for students at first-cycle, second-cycle, and third-cycle (doctoral) levels. Read more about Ladok (in the Staff Portal)
Mentimeter – a digital response tool that can be used to encourage interactivity during lectures and presentations. Using digital response tools in teaching can help make students’ understanding of key concepts visible during lectures. Mentimeter can also be used as a complement to course evaluations. Padlet – a cloud-based tool for creating digital collaboration spaces and bulletin boards that can easily be shared between participants. The areas of use include collaborative projects and presentations. The tool is suitable for student-centred learning. Padlet is sometimes described as a digital, collaborative whiteboard. All teaching staff at the University of Gothenburg are welcome to book a 30-minute guidance session on Canvas, Mentimeter, Padlet, Inspera Originality, or course evaluations in Canvas. The guidance session is held online.
